Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about the Stretch Wellness Clinical Study and assisted stretching sessions.
Assisted stretching is a technique where a trained, certified professional helps guide your body through stretches. Unlike solo stretching, a practitioner can apply precise pressure and angles to achieve a deeper, more effective stretch — safely going beyond what you can do on your own. It uses proven techniques like PNF and myofascial release.
No. You may feel mild tension or a deep stretch sensation, but your practitioner will always communicate with you and never push beyond your comfort level. Most clients describe the experience as deeply relaxing and therapeutic.
Wear comfortable, stretchy athletic clothing — yoga pants, leggings, shorts, and a t-shirt. Avoid jeans or restrictive clothing. No special equipment is needed.
Unlike yoga, assisted stretching is one-on-one with a practitioner who does the work for you. Compared to physical therapy, it focuses specifically on flexibility and mobility improvement rather than injury rehabilitation.
The study consists of 3 to 18 sessions, depending on your assigned study track. Each session is one-on-one with a certified stretch practitioner.
Each session typically lasts 45 to 60 minutes, including warm-up, stretching protocol, cool-down, and a short post-session feedback survey.

Adults between ages 25–55 with no recent history of major surgery, willing to commit to the full study duration.
Having a preexisting injury doesn’t automatically disqualify you. We ask about injuries so practitioners can tailor sessions to your needs.
Absolutely! Many of our best results come from participants new to structured flexibility training. No prior experience needed.
